ABOUT WHITE OAK HILLS

White Oak Hills is a neighborhood in DeKalb County, Georgia, just south of the city limits of Decatur and Avondale Estates and just east of the city limits of Atlanta. It is bordered to the north by Memorial Drive, to the west by Candler Road, to the south by Glenwood Road, and to the east by Shoal Creek, with Line Street running north-south down the middle of the neighborhood.

Key landmarks in or near White Oak Hills include East Lake Golf Club to the west, Saint Philip AME Church at the northwest corner, Delano Line Park along the northern edge, and Shoal Creek Park along the eastern edge.

The neighborhood is part of Belvedere Park, which is an official census-designated place.

 

Belvedere Park emerged in the 1950s as a planned community with schools, parks and a shopping center, along with predominantly one-story traditional red brick ranch homes.

​

Today, Belvedere Park has close to 20,000 residents, making up approximately 7,000 households, of which 1,000 are located within White Oak Hills.
